Danica Patrick avoids discussions about future

Will Danica Patrick be slipping out of her Indy fire suit?
Danica Patrick is not willing to talk about her future with Indycar team Andretti Green Racing, and has made it her prerogative to sidestep any questions about her contract.
“We’ve got three races left (this year),” said Patrick, “and I’m just going to do my best to try to get a win.”
Despite sitting within the top-5 on the IRL points list entering this weekend’s run at Chicagoland Speedway, Patrick has been rumoured to be looking for a move away from the sport in which she made her name. She is in the final year of a three-year IndyCar deal with Andretti Green and following a season-best third place at the Indy 500, she is arguablythe sport’s most popular figure.
In response to reporters queeries about her contract status and a highly touted possible switch to NASCAR, Patrick noted that she was committed to her current situation.
Patrick said: “We’ve got three races left, and I’m going to give everything I’ve got to get this team a win. I really hope we can get a win.”
When asked about the NASCAR rumors, Patrick jumped to reinforce her poker-faced stance.
“I can’t discuss the future,” said Patrick. I’m not going to talk about anything except this season. I just want to get a win in for my team.”
A spokesperson forTeam Andretti Green told the Associated Press that the team expect Patrick to re-sign.
